I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Eph. 2:19: Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens
with the saints, and of the household of God;
20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself
being the chief corner stone;
Luke 24:49: And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the
city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts. 1:1:The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to
do and teach,
2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given
commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs,
being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of
God:
4And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not
depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have
heard of me.
5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not
many days hence.
6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at
this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the
Father hath put in his own power.
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud
received him out of their sight.
Acts 2:1; And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord
in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of
them.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under
heaven.
6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded,
because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Mt. 3:11: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is
mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy
Ghost, and with fire:
Acts 2:42: And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in
breaking of bread, and in prayers.
The Apostle Paul understood the Body Of Christ, more than any of the other
writers of the New Testament, because he was given the revelation on it. His first
mention of the Body Of Christ is in Romans 12:4-5. There he speaks of being Baptized
into The Body.
I Corth. 12:13: For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews
or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit
and...
:18: But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased
him.
