Preach The Preaching God bids according to Time, Place, and Condition

From the teaching 10/22/11

Preach The Preaching
God bids according to
Time, Place, and Condition

Jonah 3:1:And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

 2Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
 3So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
 4And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
 5So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

And...

:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Jerm. 6:16: Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

John 14:6:Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jerm. 23:28: The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.
 29Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Num. 23:19: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Rom. 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Rom. 2:16:In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

I Corth. 9:16:For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Gal. 1:6: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

2 Tim. 4:2:Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

a. having ears itching for something pleasing and gratifying
b. they will get for themselves a great number of teachers
c. being lured by enticing words.

 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

They will turn aside from hearing the truth, and will give attention to folklore, legends, and man-made fiction.

God Is Waiting For and Looking for A MAN to meet the needs of this hour

From the teaching October 15, 2011

God is waiting for and looking for
A Man
to meet the needs of this hour

Job

Job 1:1: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

And...

:6: Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

 7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

 8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

 9Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

 10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

 11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

 12And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Job 2:2:And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

 3And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

 4And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

 5But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

 6And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

 7So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Job 42:10:And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

And...

:12: So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

 13He had also seven sons and three daughters.

 14And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.

 15And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

 16After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.

Noah

Gen. 6:8: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

II Peter 2:5: And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Ez. 22:30: And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Jerm. 5:1: Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

David

Acts 13:22: (refers to Saul) And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Luke 9:23: And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

          1. Leave self behind
          2. He must say no to self

John The Baptist

John 1:6: There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

And...

:19: And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

 20And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

 21And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

 22Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

 23He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Mt. 11:2: Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

 3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

 4Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

 5The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

God Found That Man In Paul

Acts 9:15: But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

      1. My chosen instrument
      2. The means I have chosen

Eph.2:20: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Firmly beneath you is the foundation
of the apostles, prophets, Jesus Christ, himself
being The Cornerstone

Eph. 4:11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Eph. 5:26: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

      1. Present it to Himself
      2. In stainless Glory
      3. In all her beauty
      4. As something wonderful, with no stain, no wrinkle, no such disfigurements,
        faultless, and perfect.

Eph. 2:15:Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

 16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Greater Works

From the teaching October 8, 2011

Greater Works”

Text: John 14:11:Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Greater works are; works of power even in a greater degree, and greater kind than Christ depending upon the need.

Because I go to my Father and will not be here to continue my works or do greater ones.

I will give my power to my disciples to carry on where I stopped.

They will do greater things that I would have done if I had continued.

I will give them authority to see to it that my work is carried on through them.

II Corth. 11:28: Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Isa. 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

 7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Mt. 4:23:And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

The Twelve Sent Out

Mt. 10:1:And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

 2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

 3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

 4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

 5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

 6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

 9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

 10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

 11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
 12And when ye come into an house, salute it.

 13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

 14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

 15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

And...

:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Mt. 28:16: Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
therefore (define):

          1. likewise

 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 20:21:Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Luke 24:49:And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Endued (defined):

          1. armed with
          2. invested with
          3. clothed with

Acts 1:1: The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

 2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

and...

:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Man at Pool of Bethesda

John 5:2: Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

 3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

 4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

 5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

 6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
 7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

 8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

 9And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Greater Works

Acts 3:1: Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

 2And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

 3Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

 4And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

 5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

 6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

 7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

 8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
 10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

Reference: Acts 4:22: For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed. (which means any age from 41 to 49)

Acts 19:11;And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

Special Miracles (explained):

          1. miracles of unusual kind
          2. most unusual demonstrations of power
 12So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Rom. 15:19: Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Looking For A Preacher Like Peter On the Day Of Pentecost

Teachings from Yukon Meeting
First weekend October, 2011

Looking For A Preacher Like Peter
On The Day Of Pentecost

Guidelines for speaking in public:

      1. Be filled up
      2. Shine up
      3. Stand up (with the 11 apostles)
      4. Lift up your voice
      5. As soon as you can, turn your audience to you

  1. Filled:

Eph. 5:18: And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Mt. 5:6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Filled (defined):

          1. supplied
          2. furnished
          3. accomplished
          4. full

Luke 24:49: And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Endued (defined):

          1. clothed with
          2. invested with
          3. armed with

Acts 1:1: The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
 2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

And...

:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

 5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

And...

:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:1; And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

 5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every
nation under heaven.

 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

We see Peter turn his audience towards him

Acts 2:15: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

 16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

 17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

 18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

and...

:29: Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

 30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

and...

:36: Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

 37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

And..

:41: Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

  1. Shine Up

Mt. 5:14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Phil. 2:15: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

ye are seen as luminaries
ye are seen as heavenly light
ye are seen as shining like stars in a dark world
